All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Eugene Register Guard 19 May 2004 Gladys McDaniel SPRINGFIELD - A memorial service will be held May 22 for Gladys Marie McDaniel of Springfield, who died May 15 of age-related causes. She was 82. McDaniel was born March 6, 1922, in Shawnee, Okla., to James and Eulalee Gann Crownover. She married Tracy McDaniel in Sherman, Texas, on May 29, 1946. He died Feb. 23, 1985. She lived in Springfield from 1950 until 1967 and returned in 1997. She also lived in Oklahoma and Anaheim, Calif. She graduated from high school in Bearden, Okla., and later attended secretarial school. She was a homemaker and worked as a secretary. She also worked as a bus driver with various school districts including Springfield and Pleasant Hill schools as well as Emerald Academy. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Anaheim and Springfield. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts for missionaries. She also enjoyed crocheting afghans and quilting. Survivors include a son, David of Springfield; a daughter, Betty Jean Savino of California and Patricia Kiess of Wallkill, N.Y.; three brothers, Bob Crownover of Springfield, Don Crownover of Ocean Shores, Wash., and Doyle Crownover of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. Saturday's service will be held at 4 p.m. at the Springfield Seventh-day Adventist Church.
