All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED McClure, Dorothy Evelyn Dorothy Evelyn McClure, 84, long time resident of Nampa, Idaho passed away early Tuesday morning of natural causes at the Nampa nursing home where she had lived the last several years. Dorothy was born Oct. 11, 1922 in Pottawatomie County, Okla. near the town of Wanette. She was the daughter of Lawrence S. and Agnes (Smith) Ramer. She grew up in Oklahoma. Dorothy E. Ramer married Jesse L. McClure of Watonga, Okla. at Anadarko, Okla. on 25 July 1941. They lived in the Watonga area until December 1945 when they moved to Idaho. They first lived in Melba but later moved to the Kuna area. Since 1955, they lived at various locations in and around Nampa. For many years they farmed and worked seasonally in agriculture in California and Florida, and buying, remodeling and selling houses in the off-seasons. From 1962 to 1969, when Jesse had a public relations job with the San Luis Valley Potato Administrative Board out of Monte Vista, Colo., they were able to travel. From the late 1960s on, they invested in buying and selling real estate in the Nampa area. Jesse and Dorothy were married just short of 61 years at the time Jesse passed away in 2002. Dorothy is survived by her brother, Raymond E. Ramer of Sun Lake, Ariz.; and her sister, Ruth M. Tilden of Three Forks, Mont.; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Orval and Jackie McClure of Nampa; Leo and Betty McClure of Kuna; and Dixie and Richard Beall of Modesto, Calif. She was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard S. (L.S.) Ramer and her sister, Mary Lee Opp. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, who always considered her their special aunt. She and Jesse always made each feel the special niece or nephew. Memorial services will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes, Meridian, Idaho at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Kuna Senior Citizens Center. The family would like to thank all the staff and employees of Trinity Mission/Midland Health and Rehab Center in Nampa for the care and understanding they provided Dorothy over the last years. It is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Dorothy you never looked prettier than when you were in that purple Chevy. You will be missed and we will remember you forever.
