All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Meany, Belbenia Nickel Belbenia Nickel Meany was born February 3, 1908 in Shawnee, Oklahoma and departed this earth on March 6, 2003 in Harrah, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Joseph and Selena (Jorski) Kusek. She moved to Harrah in 1926 and was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Harrah, Oklahoma. Belbenia was a great cook, she made the best cream chicken and gravy, divinity and angel food cake. She loved reminiscing about old times, telling stories and sewing. Belbenia was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Pete Nickel and Kenneth Meany; two sisters, Helen Wozniak, Martha Burl and one brother, Frank Kusek. Survivors include: 2 sons & daughters-in-law: Paul & Charlotte Nickel, Harrah, OK, Raymond & Sue Nickel, Harrah, OK; 1 brother: Bud Kusek, Harrah, OK; 3 sisters: Agnes Czerczyk, Harrah, OK, Francis Miller, Oklahoma City, OK, Angie Skrapka, Oklahoma City, OK, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of the Harrah Nursing Center and Phylis and her staff at Hospice of Central Oklahoma for their excellent care. The Rosary and Wake will be held 6:40 P.M., Sunday, March 9, 2003 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Harrah, OK. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 10, 2003 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church with Father John Vrana and Father Eugene Marshall, OSB officiating, with interment to follow at St. Teresa's Catholic Cemetery, Harrah, Oklahoma. Services under the direction of SmithParks Funeral Service, Harrah, Oklahoma.
