Nancy Ellen Bonham Ownbey

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Nancy Ellen Bonham Ownbey, 34, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 
1999.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the University of New 
Mexico Alumni Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Gary Brogden of Hoffmantown 
Church officiating.

Mrs. Ownbey was born in Shawnee, Okla. She graduated as valedictorian of 
the 1983 class at Shawnee High School and received a bachelor's degree 
with distinction from the University of Oklahoma in 1986. She was a member 
of Gamma Phi Beta sorority, Mortar Board, and Phi Eta Sigma and Alpha 
Lamda Delta honor societies.

She attended the University of Oklahoma Law School where she was a member 
of the Law Review, Phi Delta Phi scholastic legal fraternity, and Dean's 
Honor Roll. After receiving her Juris Doctorate in 1988, she earned a 
master's degree in microbiology and immunology in 1992 from the University 
of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She passed the bar exams in Oklahoma 
and New Mexico. She was an associate patent attorney with the firm of 
Peacock, Myers & Admas, P.C. in Albuquerque.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Timothy C. Ownbey; a daughter, 
Millicent; a son, Joshua; her parents, Clarke A. and Sharon Bonham of 
Shawnee; and a brother, Dr. Andrew Bonham of Pittsburgh.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to the Nancy E. 
Bonham Ownbey Children's Trust Fund, P.O. Box 26927, Albuquerque, NM 
87125-6927.
