All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Clovis Cemetery--Clovis CA Together Again LUCILLE MOTES ROGERS Lucille Monalou Rogers passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2006, in Fresno, California. Lucille was born on July 7, 1921, in Allen, Oklahoma to Jefferson and Lillie Mae Reed Motes. Lucille had seven brothers and sisters. Lucille was a loving wife to the late Reverend Arnie Rogers for 65 years. Lucille served as a minister's wife for 50 years. Lucille's strong will was only out matched by her love for family. While Arnie was in service during WWII Lucille served her country building B17 bombers in Witchita, Kansas. Arnie and Lucille came to Fresno in January 1946. Together they raised their family and had a good life and many friends. As young people they gave their souls to God and served him for 50 years. They pastored four churches in the Fresno area. Lucille is survived by sons, Arnie D. Rogers Jr. and his wife Joyce, and Ron Rogers and his wife Dianne; grandchildren, Ronnie Rogers and his wife Pam, Brian Rogers and his wife Dana, Larry Essex and his wife Alice, Deanna Cabansag, Teresa Abdella and her husband Troy, Arnie D. Rogers III and his wife Nancy, and Cameron Rogers and his wife Grace; great- grandchildren, Joshua Rogers, Brittany Rogers, Julianna Abdella, Laurel Abdella, Madeline Rogers, Mallory Essex, Shelby Essex, and Courtney Cabansag, Tyler Rogers, Aby and Douglas McLallin, and Aidan Rogers. Visitation will be held at Boice Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 5, 2006, from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Boice Funeral Home on Thursday, July 6, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Clovis Cemetery.
