Thirteen days later the family moved to Maysville, Oklahoma where she lived for 17 years. Betty passed from this life on November 18, 2006 at her home south of Leedey, Oklahoma at the age of 68. Betty was a 1956 graduate of Maysville High School. On June 9, 1956 she was married to Charles Dickinson and to this marriage was born two daughters, Marla Jo and Sharla Jan. They were her pride and joy. During this marriage they lived in Pauls Valley, Ada, and Shawnee, Oklahoma. In 1963 she moved to Oklahoma City where Betty was employed at Western Electric Company for thirteen years. In September, 1973 she was married to John "JH" Stice, and in May, 1976 moved to his family farm south of Leedey. Into this marriage came two stepdaughters, Krista and Rhonda Stice. Her family and friends were a very important part of her life. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Leedey, and loved her church family very much. For several years she loved singing with the choir and doing solo's until allegies and lung problems forced her to give it up. Betty owned and operated the B J County Store and Restaurant for several years during the oil boom in the 1980's. In 1900 she became employed at Merle Norman Cosmetics in Elk City for 6 years until health problems forced her to retire. Betty loved working because of the people she met and the many long lasting friendships she made over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ancel and Pearl Huffman and her husband, John Henry Stice. Those remaining to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Marla Jo Beavers and husband Jim of Waynesboro, Tenn., and Sharla Jan Kauk and husband Mitch of Leedey, OK; her two sisters, Patsy Carter and finance' Lee Rattingan of Naples, FL and Linda Morphew and husbvand Mickie of Weatherford, TX; by niece, Michelle Morpheew of Weatherford, TX; by two granddaughtgers, Amy and Amanda Beavers of Waynesboro, Tenn; by two grandsons, Ross and Brad Kauk of Weatherford, OK; by her step daughters, Krista Martin and husband Richard and Rhonda Stice both of Yukon, OK: by step granddaughters, Jordan and Janice Wells; by step grasndsons, Justin, Jeren, and Baylor Martin, and James Wells; by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friendrs. Funeral services were held Tueseday, November 21, 2006 in the United Methodist Church, Leedey, Oklahoma with interment following in the Moorewood Cemetery. Services arranged by Shaw Funeral Home, Leedey, Oklahoma. The End, Yet only the beginning of Eternal Life.
