Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today in Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Frederick. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church in Frederick with Dr. David P. Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. August Edward “Gus” was born Aug. 6, 1967, in Shawnee, to Frank and Irma Jeanne Fisher Schrick. He attended school in Macomb through second grade. He later attended Weaver School, southwest of Frederick, before transferring and graduating from Frederick High School in 1985. He attended Great Plains Technology Center in Lawton where he studied carpentry. He married Sharla Nicole Chesser on March 16, 1987, in Frederick. He later attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford where he received a bachelor’s degree in Technology Education in 1991. He taught Industrial Arts in Pryor, Granby, Colo., and Eufaula. He was employed by Larrance Steel in Lawton as a Drafting Detailer. Mr. Schrick was a member of Central Baptist Church of Marlow. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Shane and Colten Schrick, and a daughter, Kaitlyn Schrick, all of the home; his parents of Frederick; three brothers, Curtis Schrick and Rowdy Schrick, both of Frederick, and Brian Schrick of Montrose, Colo.; five sisters, Terri Duncan and Cindy Browning, both of Marlow, Traci Shell of Jonesboro, Ark., and Debbie Hughes and Candy Gibson, both of Frederick; his father-in-law and mother- in-law, Bill and Linda Chesser of Westcliffe, Colo.; a brother-in-law, Mike Chesser of Granby; his grandparents-in-law, Lee Hoyt and Odella Lindsey, both of Frederick; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, August and Rena Schrick, and his maternal grandmother, Eugenia Erskine.
