Thompson, joined our Lord on Saturday, July 27, 2002 after a long, hard battle with liver disease. He was born April 6, 1933, in Dale, Oklahoma to Paul Faye and Minnie Bell Thompson. He joined the Air Force and served proudly in Korea. In 1954, he went to work at Tinker AFB as an Aircraft Electrician and retired in December 1987 after 34 years. Charlie is preceded in death by his father, and one brother, Johnny. Survivors include his wife, Jean, his mother, Minnie Thompson, Dale; four daughters, Charlotte and Ed Howard, OKC; Paula Cohlemia, Enid; Jackie and Robert Sanders, OKC; and Lynnice and Steve Hamlin, OKC; two sons, Rebel Thompson, Ogden, KS and Kelly Harris, Del City; two brothers, Glenn Thompson and Loyd Thompson both of Dale, OK; two sisters, Janie Brown, Dale and Laverne Barker, McLoud; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. A devoted son, husband, father and grandfather, he will be missed greatly. The family especially thanks Vista Care Hospice nurses and staff for their wonderful care during his illness.
