Gladys Bledsoe Thomas

CLOVIS, N.M. - Gladys Bledsoe Thomas, 91, died Saturday, May 22, 1999.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Sandia Baptist Church with the Rev. 
James Burke, officiating. Burial will be in Melrose Cemetery at Melrose by 
SteedTodd Funeral Home of Clovis.

Mrs. Thomas was a longtime resident of Clovis, and a member of Sandia 
Baptist Church. She was a former resident of Melrose, a teacher for 32 
years, teaching in Oklahoma for nine years and in New Mexico for 23 years. 
She retired in Melrose.

Mrs. Thomas married Elmer Bledsoe in 1931 at Asher, Okla. He died in 1969. 
She also was preceded in death by her second husband, Ollie Thomas.

Survivors include a son, Joe Bledsoe of Clovis; a daughter, Martha Donham 
of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to Baptist Children Home.
