Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Strickland officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Waldrop was born in Tecumseh, Okla. She moved to Amarillo in 1994 from Denver. She married R.C. "Drip'' Waldrop in 1947 at Amarillo. He died in 1994. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Jodella Susan Waldrop, in 1964. Mrs. Waldrop was a member of Second Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Russell Gene Waldrop of Denton, Michael Lynn Waldrop of Amarillo and Terry Alan Waldrop of Littleton, Colo.; four daughters, Deborah Ann Marshall and Sheryl Hanne Hudson, both of Amarillo, Lisa Jan LaGasse of Sun Valley, Calif., and Elizabeth Ellen Strickland of Camp Verde, Ariz.; two brothers, Virgil Cook Jr. of Littleton and Larry Cook of Grand Island, Neb.; three sisters, Beulah Jo Best of Mesa, Ariz., Sharon Clemens of Grand Island and Carol Welch of Lincoln, Neb.; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Pottawatomie County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/pottawatomie/pottawatomie.htm
