IN THE COUNTY COURT In the Matter of the Estate of LILLY BOHANAN (nee DIXON), deceased. PETITION FOR APPROVAL OF CONVEYANCE EXECUTED BY FULL BLOOD INDIAN HEIR OF SAID DECEASED. Come now MAMIE JEFFERSON (NEE DIXON), a widow, and SUSAN BOHANAN (NEE DIXON), and show to the court that they are adults and that each is a full blood Choctaw Indian, the said MAMIE JEFFERSON being enrolled on the Final Approved Rolls opposite No. 7957 by her maiden name of MAMIE DIXON; and the said SUSAN BOHANAN being enrolled on said rolls opposite No. 7959 by her maiden name of SUSAN DIXON. They further show that they are sisters of LILLY BOHANAN (NEE DIXON) together with husband of said deceased, deceased and that they are the only heirs of the said deceased. That the said LILLY BOHANAN (NEE DIXON) departed this life on October 18, 1918, near Tushkahoma, in Pushmataha County, State of Oklahoma, leaving surviving her as her heirs SIMPSON BOHANAN, and these petitioners. That her said husband SIMPSON BOHANAN is an Indian of the half blood, being on the approved Choctaw roll opposite No. 5461. They further show that both the mother and father of said LILLY BOHANAN died prior to the date of the death of the said LILLY BOHANAN. That there was allotted to the said LILLY BOHANAN (NEE DIXON) as such Choctaw Indian, and she owned at the time of her death, the following described lands, located in Marshall County, State of Oklahoma, to-wit: The South One Half of Section 23, Township 7 South and Range 4 East of the Indian Base and Meridian, containing 320 acres, more or less, as the case may be, according to the United States Survey thereof. That the said LILLY BOHANAN died intestate and without issue of her body. That the said LILLY BOHANAN was a full blood Choctaw Indian, duly enrolled on said Final Rolls opposite No. 7956. That said surviving husband SIMPSON BOHANAN inherited an undivided one half of the said lands herinbefore described, and that these petitioners as the sisters of said deceased inherited an undivided one fourth interest each in said lands. Petitioners further show that they have sold, subject to approval by this court, their undivided interests in said inherited lands to W. G. STARLING of Kingston, Oklahoma, for the sum of $1800.00 cash in hand paid, said sum being the amount for which the said surviving husband has sold his undivided one half interest in said lands to the same purchaser. They state that said sum is the reasonable value of their said undivided interests, and that it is for their best interest that said sale be made for said sum. Wherefore, they pray the court that this petition be set down for hearing, and that upon said hearing being had that said conveyance be approved by this court. KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That MAMIE JEFFERSON (NEE DIXON), a widow and an unmarried person, and SUSAN BOHANAN (NEE DIXON) and WILSON BOHANAN, wife and husband, of the County of Pushmataha State of Oklahoma, parties of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Eighteen Hundred and no/100 1800.00 Dollars, in hand paid, the reciept of which is herby acknowledged, do GRANT, BARGAIN, SELL AND CONVEY unto W. G. STERLING of the County of Marshall, State of Oklahoma, party of the second part, the following described real property and premises, situate in the county of Marshall, State of Oklahoma, to-wit: The South One Half of Section 23, Township 7 South and Range 4 East of the Indian Base and Meridian, containing 320 acres, more or less, as the case may be, according to the United States survey thereof. together with all improvements thereon and appurtenances therunto belonging, and warrant the title to the same. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said described premises unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, forever, free, clear and discharged of and from all former GRANTS, CHARGES, TAXES, JUDGEMENTS, MORTGAGES, and other LIENS and INCUMBRANCES of whatsoever nature, Signed and delivered this ______day of December, A.
