(A-14703) PETITION Comes now RHODA WILKIN, NEE BOHANAN, joined by her husband LAYMON WILKIN, and respectfully shows to the Court that she is a citizen by Blood of the Choctaw Nation and enrolled opposite No. 5571, as of the full blood, that she is the surviving mother of SOPHIA BOHANAN, deceased; That said SOPHIA BOHANAN was a citizen by blood of the Choctaw Nation, enrolled opposite No. 14703 as of the full blood; That on or about the 15th day of September, 1904, the said SOPHIA BOHANAN, departed this life, intestate, unmarried and without issue while still a minor, at her home near Nashoba, in that part of the Central District of the Indian Territory now embraced within the boundaries of Pushmataha County, Oklahoma; that said SOPHIA BOHANAN ws a resident of that part of the Choctaw Nation now embraced within the boundaries of Pushmataha County, Oklahoma; that said SOPHIA BOHANAN was a resident of that part of the Choctaw Nation now embraced within Pushmataha County, Oklahoma, and had lived there all her life; that this Court has jurisdiction of the settlement of the estate of said SOPHIA BOHANAN, deceased; That said SOPHIA BOHANAN left her surviving as her sole heirs at law the following named persons, and none other: Her Father WATSON BOHANAN and her Mother RHODA BOHANAN, petitioner herein; that thereafter on the 9th day of April, 1910 the said WATSON BOHANAN departed this life, and since time petitioner has become and is now the wife of LAYMON WILKIN; That said SOPHIA BOHANAN died seized of an estate of inheritance in fee simple in and to the following described lands, situated in Jefferson County, State of Oklahoma, to-wit: S 1/2 of SW 1/4 of NE 1/4 and W 1/2 of SE 1/4 of Section 14, in Township 6 South, Range 6 West; also NW 1/4 of SE 1/4; and NE 1/4 of SW 1/4; and N 1/2 of SE 1/4 of SW 1/4 of Section 20, in Township 6 South, Range 5 West of the Indian Base and Meridian; Also SE 1/4 of NE 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Section 20 in Township 3 North, Range 1 East of NE 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Section 20 in Township 3 North, Range 1 East of the Indian Base and Meridian; situate in Garvin County, Oklahoma. That upon the death of said SOPHIA BOHANAN said lands descended in fee to her heirs at law, the persons hereinabove named and became alienable; That on the 28th day of February, A. D. 1914, in the town of Antlers your petitioner sold her interest in the above described lands subject to the approval of this Court, to J. M. BOUND for the price and sum of Eleven Hundred Dollars; that petitioner, joined by her husband LAYMON WILKIN, has executed to said J. M. Bound, his heirs and assigns a Warranty Deed conveying said above described lands, a copy of which deed is hereto attached and made a part hereof; that said purchaser has agreed to pay said purchase price into this Court for petitioner; that petitioner believes said consideration to be reasonable and adequate and the fair value of said land. That the transaction is entirely satisfactory to the petitioner and she desires with the permission and approval of this Court to consummate said sale; Wherefore Petitioner prays the Court to enter its order ratifying, confirming and approving said sale and declaring her deed to the said J. Now on this day there comes on for hearing the petition of RHODA WILKIN, NEE BOHANAN joined by her husband LAYMON WILKIN, praying the Court to approve petitioner's deed to J. M. D. 1914, RHODA WILKIN, NEE BOHANAN, joined by her husband LAYMON WILKIN, made and executed her certain deed of conveyance conveying all her right, title and interest in and to the said above described lands to J. M. BOUND for the price and sum of $1100.00, which deed is now presented to this Court for approval; that petitioner has testified that she is entirely satisfied with said transaction and believes said consideration to be reasonable and adequate and the fair value of said land and that she desires to consummate said sale with the approval of this Court; and the Court being of the opinion that said sale is fair and equitable and that it will be for the best interests and proper benefit of said petitioner to approve said deed; Now, Therefore It Is Hereby Ordered that the said deed of conveyance from the said RHODA WILKIN, NEE BOHANAN joined by her husband LAYMON WILKIN to the said J. M. BOUND conveying the said above described two hundred ten acres of land be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed and approved and in all respects declared legal and valid.
