Brown passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2001 in Antlers, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years. Mr. Brown was born March 26, 1914 in Mena, Arkansas the son of Bennett and Maude (Langston) Brown. He worked as a truck driver for about 40 years and served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He married Sue Nicholson on March 23, 1953 in DeQueen, Arkansas. He was a member of the Wright City Baptist Church and had moved to Rattan about 6 years ago from Ringold, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife: Sue of the home; 1 son: James Earl Brown of Texas; 5 daughters: Suzann Cates of Texas, Deborah Whitworth of Irving, Texas, Billie Fay Willibough of California, Darline Holleman of Wright City, Oklahoma, and Sherry Watts of Rattan, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services were held on Saturday, September 15, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Melvin Holleman officiating. Burial was held at the Old Ringold Cemetery under the direction of Mt.
