A retired state highway department employee, he was a resident of this area for 36 years and a member of the Church of Christ. survivors include his wife, Clara BURNETT, of the home in Antlers; a son Elbert Lee BURNETT, Antlers; two daughters, Sharon TIGERT, Antlers and Betty RUST, Pittsburg, Texas; two brothers, Earnest BURNETT, Perryton, Texas and Aubrey BURNETT, Haworth; two sisters, Marie JEANES, Haworth and Ruby CURRY, Dumas, Texas; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Antlers Church of Christ with James HAWK officiating. burial was in the Antlers City Cemetery under the direction of the Mills and Coffey Funeral Home.
