COOKSEY IS LAID TO REST WEDNESDAY Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Cooksey, wife of W. A. Cooksey, Soper, were held at the First Baptist Church at Soper at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. Rev. Fred A. Tucker and M. R. Archer of Antlers conducted the service. Burial was at Soper Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home, Hugo, directing. Mrs. Cooksey, 64 yrs. old, died at the Medical Arts Hospital in Hugo at 2:45 p.m., Monday, from a paralytic stroke suffer while on she visit with her daughter, Mrs. E. E. Woodruff in Antlers 2 weeks ago. Mrs. Dora Casey was born in Roxton, Texas, and was married to W. A. Cooksey at Paris, Texas. They moved to Oklahoma, Choctaw County, soon after statehood and to this union eight children were born. Surviving besides her husband, are three daughters, Mrs. George White, of Houston, TX; Mrs. E. E. Woodruff of Antlers, Mrs. Perry Collum, of Soper; 3 sons, Rufus Cooksey of Soper, Jack Cooksey of Port Arthur, TX, Earnest Cooksey of Antlers. Also 6 grandchildren: Charlie Cooksey of Port Arthur, TX, Arleene, Bernice, and J. W. Collum, Martha Golden Cooksey of Soper, and Billy Woodruff, of Antlers. She have 2 sisters: Mrs. Mrs. Florence White of Borgen, TX, and Mrs. Clara Singleton of Soper. 2 nieces, Mrs. Thulena Cooper of Seminole and Mrs. Willis Marshall of Soper, and 1 nephew, Son Singleton of Soper. Dora Cooksey is member of Baptist Church. Pallbearers were: A. Reagan, L. E. Ferguson, Eurl Hawkins of Soper, and Bob Baker, Roy Cole and Pete Stafford of Antlers.
