All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Wier's FH--Crescent City CA Duffy, Bonnie Fred (Bon) Bonnie Fred Duffy (Bon) Bon Duffy passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday January 15, 2007, at the age of 77. He was born on December 19, 1929, in Clayton, Oklahoma, of Irish and Cherokee Indian heritage. He was a 25 year resident of Elma, Washington, and recently relocated to Crescent City, California. Bon is survived by his loving wife, Bobbi; his five children, Sherrie, Kerry, Lance, Nicky, and Maureen. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren; and his brother, Jack Duffy. As a world traveler Bon touched many lives and created a lifetime of fantastic stories that he loved to share. As a timber-faller in Redding California, Bon learned to love the wilderness and became an avid hunter, and a black-powder master. As a commercial fisherman, he owned and captained three fishing vessels, traveled from Key West to the Aleutian Islands of Alaska, and created fond memories for his entire family. He also became a private pilot and enthusiastic flyer. Bon always brought laughter to gatherings, and referred to himself as an "Oakie-Irish-Indian". He was known for his love for life, and his love for his family. Bon adored his wife Bobbi, and their 35-year love story could be a novel.
