"VIC" DEFFEYES SERVICES HELD Victor F. "Vic" Deffeyes of Antlers, Oklahoma passed away on November 28, 1999 in his residence. Vic was born on August 22, 1907 in Hugo, Indian Territory, Oklahoma. He had lived in Antlers since 1941 and worked as a contractor, electrician and brick layer and a general jack-of-all-trades. He was a member of the Antlers First Methodist Church. Vic was also a retired firefighter and had served his country during World War II in the U. S. Navy. During his past time he enjoyed fishing and restoring model T's. Mr. Deffeyes was preceded in death by his parents: Elie J. and Nancy E. (Potter) Deffey and his wife, Rachel "Vi" Deffeyes; three brothers, and four sisters. Surviving relatives include: one daughter: Billie Taylor and husband Martin of Antlers, Oklahoma; two grandchildren: John Taylor and wife, Denise of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Mary Rodriquez and husband Pat of Sherman, Texas; four great grandchildren: Marlo Taylor, Morgan Taylor, and Jarrett Taylor all of Edmond, Oklahoma and Natalie Parsley of Sherman, Texas. Services were held Tuesday, November 30, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Pavilion with Mr. D. Brent Franks and Michael Ward officiating. Burial was at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
