DEES SERVICES HELD Naomi J. Dees was born on February 28, 1913 at Yukon, Oklahoma and passed away on April 28, 2001 at Rattan, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years. Naomi had been a resident of the area since 1993 and attended the First Baptist Church in Rattan. She was a homemaker/housewife and enjoyed sewing, arts & crafts, and travel. She loved to visit with her friends and was active at the Rattan Senior Citizens Center. She is survived by her 3 sons: Edwin Dees, Charles Dees and James Dees all of Rattan, Okla.; 4 daughters: Katie Skinner of Melbourn Beach, Florida; Betty Langley of Sobol, Okla.; Carolyn Anderson of Fort Towson, Okla.; and Vivian Fletcher of Tacoma, Washington; 2 brothers: Charlie Johnson of El Reno, Okla.; and LeRoy Johnson of Yukon, Okla.; 1 sister: Ruth Fisher of Valley View, Texas; 6 step-children: Wallace Dees of Rattan, Okla.; Lottie Tallant of Washington; Dovie Mattox of Oregon; Anna Thompson and Patsy Smith of Okla.; and Doyle Dees of California; 21 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles Johnson and Atha B. (Brown) (Rexroat) Johnson; her husband: Felix O. Dees; 1 daughter: Martha Dearborn; an infant child; and 2 brothers: Al Johnson and David Johnson. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Miller Baptist Church with Reverend Scott Hamilton officiating and Reverend Sam Pace assisting. Serving as pallbearers were: Lynn Houston, Billy Hedge, Michael Wall, Cecil Flemming, Marvin Farris and Wayne Hedge. Honorary pallbearers included: Harrison Steward and Jeremy Hoff.
