ELLIS SERVICES HELD George "Buster" S. Ellis was born on March 10, 1927 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Clarence Ellis and Jettie (Starnes) Ellis and passed away on May 20, 2001 at home in the presence of his family at the age of 74 years. On January 7, 1948, he married Betty L. Smith in Paris, Texas. He and Betty moved to Canon City, Colorado in 1962. George loved to fish and have his afternoon coffee with friends. He owned and operated Fremont LP Gas Services until retiring in 1991. He was a member of Grandview Christian Church and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Betty; son: Randy and wife Pam Ellis of Canon City, Colorado and daughter: Brenda and husband Randy Bennett of Amarillo, Texas. He is survived by his five grandchildren who he loved deeply: Matthew Ellis, Justin Ellis, Cody Ellis of Canon City, Colorado, Amanda Bennett and Ashley Bennett of Amarillo, Texas. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and his parents. Celebration of Life Services was held on Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Holt Chapel of the Garden in Canon City, Colorado.
