All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== "Push County Times", June 26, 2001, Page 5 BILLY JOE FRANKS SERVICES HELD Billy Joe Franks was born on February 4, 1933 and passed away on June 7, 2001 in Antlers, Oklahoma at the age of 54 years. Bill was raised in the Antlers area and was a member of the Ethel Baptist Church. He served in the Army Reserves from 1965 until 1969. After moving to California in 1985, he owned and operated B.J.'s Auto Sales. Bill will always be remembered as a good natured person and someone who enjoyed life. He is survived by his son Terry Michael Franks of Austin, Texas; daughters: Alicia Joetta Franks of Kemp, Texas; and Mariesha Lynne Franks of Hollywood, Florida; brother: Donald R. Franks of Antlers, Okla.; and sisters: Veda Davis of Kerman, California; Ruby Rogers of Wasco, California; Claudia Beaird of Ratcliff City, Oklahoma; Madge Gentry of Antlers, Okla.; Mildred Scott of Antlers, Okla.; and Ella Marie Pollard of Antlers, Okla.; companion: Patsy Franks-Landreth; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Garrison Franks and mother, Alice Rhoda (Harp) Franks. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mills-Coffey Chapel with Brent Franks officiating. Final resting place was in the 100F Oddfellows Cemetery under the direction of Mills-Coffey Funeral Home of Antlers, Oklahoma. (NOTE: It look like there is a mistake on his birthdate.
