James was born May 8 1941 in Albion, Oklahoma. James moved to the area as a young child and graduated from Stagg High School and received an AA degree from Delta in Electronics. He worked as a technician for AT&T for 37 years, he attended Valley Bible Church and was a long time member of the Master's Men and the NRA. James was a craftsman in woodworking and he was a great outdoorsman. He loved to fish, hunt and camp. He was a loving husband of 33 years to his wife, Angie Foster of Stockton; devoted father of six children, Jeff Foster of Oakdale, Scott Foster of Rio Vista, James Foster of Stockton, Jeri Peterson of Lathrop, Robin Wilson of Galt and Melody Friedle of Santa Clara. Beloved grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 1. A son-in- law of Don and Ruby Mize of Stockton and a brother of Carla Heaberlin of Isleton. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 20 from 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. at Wallace-Martin Chapel with service Thursday, December 21 at 1:00 p.m. at Wallace-Martin Funeral Home, 520 N. Sutter Street, Stockton, CA. Committal at Cherokee Memorial Park. Donations: Hospice of San Joaquin 3888 Pacific Ave Stockton. James will be sadly missed by family and friends.
