Hazel was born on November 11, 1907 in Paris, Texas and lived in Antlers for 75 years although she has lived in Oklahoma City for the past 2 1/2 years. A member of the First Baptist Church in Antlers, Oklahoma, she enjoyed crocheting, handwork, cooking and gardening as her pastime. She is survived by 2 daughters: Jo Bicknell of Garden Grove, California and Jean Collins of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 3 grandchildren: Susan M. Collins, Kevin Bicknell and Kerri Hanson; 6 great-grandchildren: Chelsea Bicknell, Alexander Bicknell, Harrison Bicknell, Scott I. Hanson, Douglas R. Hanson, and Peter Bicknell; 1 great-great grandchild: Scott Austin. Mrs. Hogan was preceded in death by her parents: William H. and Grace L. Tomblin; her husband: Stanley J. Hogan; 1 brother: Ira Tomblin; and 1 sister: Mary Francis Byrum. Graveside funeral services were held on Saturday, January 13, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Sam Dyer officiating. Burial was held at the Antlers City Cemetery under the direction of Mills & Coffey Funeral Home of Antlers, Oklahoma.
