Memorial service: 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at Faith Lutheran Church in Plano. Flowers may be sent directly to the church. Memorials: American Cancer Society or a charity of choice. Jeanice was born in Clayton, Okla., on Sept. 5, 1932, to John and Lillie Aynes. She grew up and attended school in Oklahoma. She was united in marriage with Air Force Sgt. Norman K. Haugan, and made their home in several places as she followed his career. In 1972, they retired and made their final home in Richardson. Jeanice worked for several years in Dallas for Campbell Taggart in the research lab as a cereal chemist before retiring in 1994. She often described her experience at Campbell Taggart as being part of a family, and kept close ties with many of the special friends she made while working there. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillie; and sisters, Bonnie and Dealma. Jeanice's greatest joy in life was being a mother to her four children and grandmother to her five grandchildren. Survivors: In addition to her husband, Norman; she has a son, Norman Haugan and wife, Sheri, of Fort Lewis, Wash.; and daughters, Pamela Pena and husband, Jose, of Richardson, Kim Stegall and husband, Bill, of Arlington and Christina Greely and husband, Marvin, of Katy. It was no secret that the true loves of her life were her grandchildren, Matheau and David Greely, Ryan and Courtney Stegall and Jamie Pena. Amazingly, although her life was always full with husband, children and grandchildren, her incredible capacity for love caused her to reach out and become mother and grandmother to so many others whom she dearly loved. Besides husband, children and grandchildren, Jeanice is survived by her loving brothers and sisters, Olin Aynes, Ted Aynes and Phyllis Vidol of Oklahoma and Thelma Jean Mayer of Washington.
