Mr. Higgins was formerly of Antlers/Pushmataha Area. He was of the Baptist Faith and an ordained Baptist deacon. He was the first cameraman for KTLV in the 50's and later a studio manager and announcer. He worked and retired from Eastman Kodak. He is survived by his wife Gwen Higgins of Enid, Oklahoma; 1 son Bruce Geoff Higgins of Enid, Oklahoma; 2 daughters Lynn Horton and husband Jimmie of Tyler, Texas and Rhonda Thomas and husband Hurshel of Tyler, Texas; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services were held on Friday, December 28, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Jim Murphy officiating. He was laid to his final resting place at Antlers City Cemetery under the direction of Mills & Coffey Funeral Home of Antlers, Oklahoma. _________________________________________________________________________
