JERRY DON HAMBY SERVICES HELD Jerry Don Hamby was born on July 7, 1932 in Kosoma, Oklahoma and passed away on September 8, 2000 in Antlers, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years. He was a carpenter and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting. He served in the U. S. Army from 1953-1955 in the 46th Battalion and attained the rank of Sergeant. Jerry is survived by 3 children: Don, Joanie and Janis; 1 sister: Mary Ann Davis of Antlers, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas M. and Ollie B. Wayman Hamby. Funeral services were held Sunday, September 10, 2000 in Kosoma, Oklahoma with Reverend Jewell Barrett officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: James Hancock, Shorty Hancock, Buddy Jordan, Carl Shilling, Kenneth Moon and Buddy Lankford. Burial was held at the Kosoma Cemetery under the direction of Mills & Coffey Funeral Home of Antlers.
