Sallie was a longtime resident of this area. She was a housewife and member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading, gardening and quilting. She is survived by her son: Billy Joe Maynard of Long Island, New York and daughter, Mickie A. Blair of Lancaster, California; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents: Ashley & Sarah (Clayton) Williams; husband: Clyde Maynard; daughter: Bobbie Jean Hooker and sister: Ivy Brown. Funeral services were held on Friday, February 23, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mills & Coffey Chapel with D. Brent Franks officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Claude Savage, Sammy Joe Rymel, Mike Wood, Don Helm, Charlie Garrison, J. L. Savage and Jackie Garrison. Burial was held at the Rattan Cemetery under the direction of Mills & Coffey Funeral Home of Antlers, Oklahoma.
