Pearl was born December 29, 1906 to Robert Henry McCoy and Minnie (Allen) McCoy at Salt Creek, Oklahoma. She was a resident of the area for 90 years. She was active in the community and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary as a "Gold Star Mother". Pearl enjoyed music, fishing, and playing dominoes with her friends. She is survived by her son: Joe Powelll of Moore, Okla.; 2 sisters: Jo Green of Dumas, Texas and Billie Bridges of Graham, Texas; 1 brother: Robert McCoy of Red Springs, Texas; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: John Powell. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mills-Coffey Chapel with Reverend Pete Green and Reverend Monty Sharp officiating. Burial was held at the Dela Cemetery under the direction of Mills-Coffey Funeral Home of Antlers, Oklahoma. _________________________________________________________________
