She was born February 14, 1910 in Soper to David Edward and Caldonia Maddux. She was a retired cosmetologist and a Jehovah's Witness. She had been a resident of Antlers since 1971. Surviving relatives include her niece, Dorothy Jones of Antlers; several other nieces and nephews; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, James Edward Pletcher; one son, James E. Pletcher, Jr.; parents, David Edward and Caldonia Maddux; and one sister, Lula Ward. Funeral services for Stella Pletcher, 90, of Antlers were held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2001, at the Mills-Coffey Chapel. Mike Smith officiated. Burial followed in the Antlers City Cemetery.
