Pearson, Viola Lee VIOLA LEE PEARSON MARCH 18, 1925 - JAN. 22, 2007 Viola Lee Pearson was born March 18, 1925 in Darvin, Oklahoma. She died January 22, 2007 in Turlock, California. She lived eighty-one years and three hundred-ten days. Mrs. Pearson moved to the Modesto area in 1942 with her husband, Raymond Ray Pearson, where they raised their children and grandchildren. Mrs. Pearson worked for several years at local canneries, and eventually retired from California Vegetable Concentrate. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and playing with her great grand children. Mrs. Pearson is survived by two daughters, Pat Holt of Ceres and Margeret Ainslie of Keyes; son-in-law, Art Holt Jr., also of Ceres; two sisters, Rosie Smith of Emmett Idaho, Lill Chapman of Atoka, Oklahoma; and one brother, Jerry Maxy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is further survived by four nephews, Marvin Mays of Tulare, Jesse Glen Pearson of Sonora, Floyd Junior Pearson and Skip Shaeffer, both of Lake Head, California. Mrs. Pearson also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Raymond Ray Pearson and three sons, Lloyd Ray Pearson, Floyd Lee Pearson, and Eddie Ray Pearson; also brothers Ed, Curtis, Sidny, and Roy; and her sister, Goldie. Viewing will be Thursday, January 25th, from 4pm-8pm, at Salas Brothers Funeral Home.
