Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Morrison Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with the Rev. H.L. Stevens, retired pastor of First Assembly of God Church, officiating. Mr. Ripple was born in Antlers, Okla., and had been a longtime Spur resident. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. In 1952, he moved to Dumas. Mr. Ripple retired as a postal clerk. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Dumas. He married Forestine Mecom in 1945 at Spur. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Martha Thompson and Helen Murphey, both of Dumas; four brothers, Curtis Ripple of Bellingham, Wash., Morris Ripple of Wylie, Wayne Ripple of Lubbock and Gary Ripple of Phoenix; a grandson; and two great-grandchildren. The family will be at 222 Peach. They suggest memorials be to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. Second, Dumas, TX 79029.
