Contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Teresa Young April 10, 2002 ************************************************************************ "Push County Times", March 27, 2002, Page 6 JOHN WILLIAMS ROBERTS SERVICES HELD John Williams Roberts was born on August 30, 1946 in Richardson, Texas and passed from this life on March 16, 2002 in Antlers, Oklahoma at 55 years of age. Mr. Roberts has lived in the Antlers area since 1995, moving here from Wylie, Texas. He was a member of the Darwin Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening as well as being a member of the NRA. He loved being outdoors and working with animals. He was preceded in death by his parents John B. and Hazel Roberts. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife Linda Roberts of the home; sons: John "Brad" Bradley Roberts and wife Melissa of Valencia, California and Mark Allen Roberts of Trenton, Texas and one daughter: Stephanie Roberts of Ft. Towson, Oklahoma; grandson: Talce Rosenthal and sisters Eva Ledbetter of Cleveland, Oklahoma and Barbara Pepper of Claremore, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Darwin Baptist Church with Reverend David Boutwell and Reverend Otis Gains officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Mark Cole, Danny Harper, Danny Hancock, Aaron Hancock, Steven Sharp and Roy Ludlow. Honorary pallbearers included George Phillips, Marty Cole and Jacob Brueno. He was laid to his final resting place at the Darwin Cemetery under the direction of Mills & Coffey Funeral Home of Antlers, Oklahoma. _____________________________________
