She passed away at her residence in Antlers on November 29, 1999. Mrs. Robertson was a resident of Antlers for the past 31 years coming here from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, singing and raising and working with flowers in her past time. Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by her parents: Aaron and Georgia (Ward) Finley, her husband, Ira J. Robertson, who passed from this life on July 16, 1958, a son, Joe Wayne Robertson on November 22, 1989, two brothers, seven sisters and one son-in-law, Jake Spears. Viola is survived by: One son, James Robertson of San Francisco, California, two daughters, Edith Spears and Lois Brooks both of Antlers, Oklahoma, one son-in-law, Elton Randell of Lane, Oklahoma, one sister, Ruby Singleton of Indiana. Mrs. Robertson also leaves behind in this life five grandchildren: Ralph Spears, Sr., Cheryl Low, Mark Robertson, Cody Robertson, and Kimberly Robertson; four step-granddaughters and one step-grandson; five great grandchildren: Ralph Spears, Jr., Jared Spears, Jacob Spears, Tony Low and Tara Low. Services were held Tuesday, November 30, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Andy Reed officiating. Pallbearers included: Ralph Spears, Sr., Lenis Luginbill, Jack Hedrick, Melvin Luginbill, Jack Wolfe, and Mike Low. Honorary pallbearers were: Ed Brooks, Bill Hedgecock, Blake Low, Randy Janoe, and Ralph Spears, Jr. Burial followed at the Darwin Cemetery.
