Contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Teresa Young April 10, 2002 ************************************************************************ "Push County Times", February 26, 2002, Page 5 ANNA CHRISTINE PETERSON-SMITH SERVICES HELD Anna Christine Peterson-Smith was born on July 24, 1916 in Aberdeen, Washington and passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2002 at Pushmataha Hospital in Antlers, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years. Anna Christine was born the daughter of Frank and Elsa "Magnesson" Peterson. She was a lifelong resident of Modesto, California where she was graduated from Bible School and had worked in fruit processing and dry goods sales. In her later years she worked as a caregiver for the elderly. She was a resident of the Arbor Valley Nursing Facility for ten years before she moved to the Antlers Community with her son in 2000. She was a member of the Neighborhood Church in Modesto, California. She was a devoted Christian mother to her son, and enjoyed the outdoors, art, and music. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 4 brothers. The family ask that remembrances be sent to the Neighborhood Church or the Arbor Valley Nursing Facility. She is survived by 1 son: Steven Paul Smith of Antlers, Oklahoma and former spouse: Odell Smith of Farris, Oklahoma. Graveside funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 19, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Antlers, Oklahoma under the direction of Mt. Olive Funeral Home in Antlers, Oklahoma. ______________________________________
