		  DOROTHY MAE VAUGHN SERVICE HELD

Dorothy Mae Vaughn was born on September 25, 1918 in Bennington, Oklahoma 
and passed away on March 4, 2001 in Antlers, Oklahoma at the age of 82 
years.

Dorothy was a longtime resident of Antlers. She was a homemaker and attended 
the Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and 
cooking.

She is survived by four children: Donald Vaughn and wife Dottie of Cove, 
Arkansas; Athelta Harmon of Antlers, Okla.; Verlon Vaughn and wife Gale of 
Blossom, Texas; and Diann Milam and husband David of Antlers, Okla.; one 
brother: George Stowe of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters: Nancy Aline Jones of 
Sulphur, Okla; and Lois Hazel Harmon of Ringold, Okla.; ten grandchildren; 
two step-grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and seven 
step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: George Thoburn and Rosetta Pearl 
(Hines) Stowe and her husband: Norven Cleo Vaughn.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 6, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the 
Mills & Coffey Chapel with Reverend Andy Reed officiating.

Serving as pallbearers were: Travis Vaughn, Aaron Harmon, Ashley Harmon, 
Cornel Harmon, Ronny Vaughn, Jay Massey and Glen Vaughn.

Honorary pallbearers included: Darrel Sessums and Terry Clark.

Burial took place at the Antlers City Cemetery under the direction of Mills 
& Coffey Funeral Home in Antlers, Oklahoma.
