Dorothy was a longtime resident of Antlers. She was a homemaker and attended the Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and cooking. She is survived by four children: Donald Vaughn and wife Dottie of Cove, Arkansas; Athelta Harmon of Antlers, Okla.; Verlon Vaughn and wife Gale of Blossom, Texas; and Diann Milam and husband David of Antlers, Okla.; one brother: George Stowe of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters: Nancy Aline Jones of Sulphur, Okla; and Lois Hazel Harmon of Ringold, Okla.; ten grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: George Thoburn and Rosetta Pearl (Hines) Stowe and her husband: Norven Cleo Vaughn. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 6, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mills & Coffey Chapel with Reverend Andy Reed officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Travis Vaughn, Aaron Harmon, Ashley Harmon, Cornel Harmon, Ronny Vaughn, Jay Massey and Glen Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers included: Darrel Sessums and Terry Clark. Burial took place at the Antlers City Cemetery under the direction of Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Antlers, Oklahoma. _________________________________________________________________
