Contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Teresa Young June 29, 2001 ************************************************************************ "Antlers American", Thursday, January 11, 1951 NASHOBA RANCHER DIES FRIDAY IN HUGO HOSPITAL Services for Peter Weiss, 52, Nashoba rancher, were at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the community church at Nashoba, the Reverend Harold Dunson officiating. Interment was in the Antlers City Cemetery. Arrangement were in charge of a funeral home in Hugo, assisted by the Coffey Funeral Home in Antlers. Mr. Weiss died at 3 p.m. Friday of last week in a Hugo hospital. He was born April 23, 1898 in South Dakota. Before moving to Nashoba community during the past year, he lived at Alva in the northwestern part of Oklahoma. He bought out a ranch between Snow and Nashoba. Survivors are his wife, Bessie; two children, Mrs. Marjorie Shillings, Dallas, Texas and Jack Weiss, Edmond; a brother and three sisters: John Weiss, Wheatland, Wyo.; Mrs. Ella Chambers, Lander, Wyo.; Mrs. Ellis Waleland, Scott City, Kan., and Mrs. Mary Steele, Puente, California.
