Contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Teresa Young July 1, 2001 ************************************************************************ "Push County Times", February 27, 2001, Page 5 VERAL DEAN WALLS SERVICE HELD Veral Dean Walls was born on April 2, 1912 in Gertie, Oklahoma and passed away on February 19, 2001 in Antlers, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years. Veral was a longtime resident of Antlers. She was the owner and operator of Walls Fabric Shop and a member of the Antlers Church of Christ. She had taught children's Sunday School for several years. She lived in Corrine and spent several years in California during WWII, then the family moved back to this area following the war. She has been to all the states except Hawaii after the age of 5. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. Veral is survived by daughter-in-law: Laverne Walls of Antlers; brother: Ray Rymel of Antlers; sister: Thelma Dial of Antlers; 3 grandchildren: Tonya Barnett, Teah Pietrowicz and Tony Walls; 6 great-grandchildren: Eric Barnett, Summer Barnett, Zashley Pietrowicz, Cassie Weems and Charlie Walls. She was preceded in death by her parents: Eugene and Lizzie Rymel; husband: Charlie R. Walls; son: Charles Haskell Walls; 2 brothers: Hal Rymel and Jerry Rymel; 2 sisters: Phala Wilmeth and Lois Mills. Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 21, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at Antlers Church of Christ with Brent Franks officiating. Burial was held at the Walls Family Cemetery under the direction of Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Antlers, Oklahoma.
