Contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Teresa Young July 5, 2001 ************************************************************************ "Push County Times", March 20, 2001, Page 7 ROY WILSON SERVICE HELD Ringold resident, Roy Wilson, passed away Friday, March 16, 2001 at McCurtain Regional Hospital in Idabel, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years. Mr. Wilson was born February 25, 1930 in Bethel, Oklahoma the son of Alexander and Roda "Jefferson" Wilson. He had lived in the Ringold area all his life, worked as a brick mason, and had served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Rosa Wilson in 1992; 1 brother; 2 sisters; and 1 daughter: Terry Tatum in 1997. He is survived by: 4 step-daughters: Elizabeth Lee and Sandra Lemeke of Topeka, Kansas; Brenda Eubanks of Eudora, Kansas and Beverly Beers of Cameron, Kansas; 3 brothers: Karlo Wilson of Valliant, Okla.; Johnny and Nathan Wilson both of Ringold, Okla.; 3 sisters: Teresa Wilson of California; Cora Faye Kortz of Alaska; and Ruby Jean White of Montana; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. The family received friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19, at the Mt. Olive Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 20, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rufe Baptist Church with Reverend Troy Ruffin officiating. Burial was held at the Wilson Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Mt. Olive Funeral Home in Hugo, Oklahoma. _________________________________________________________________
