Harold had earned his GED and attended Paris Junior College. Harold enjoyed fishing and liked to work on cars and around the house. He had worked as an air conditioning repairman, construction worker, welder and truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine of the home; 2 sons, Harlan Wright of Camp Pendelton, California and Harley Wright of Durant, Oklahoma; 4 daughters, Melinda Wesley of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Geneva Wright of Hugo, Oklahoma, Luella Hurd of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Jeri Wright of Durant, Oklahoma; 1 aunt, Josephine Whisenhunt of Soper, Oklahoma; 1 uncle Warren Jurd of Ft. Worth, Texas and 9 grandchildren: Brandon, Colton, Brittany, Chelsea, Chester, Jerry, Tanisha, Toni and Cheston. He was preceded in death by his father, Islin Wright and mother, Louella Mae (Washburn) Wright. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 22, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mills & Coffey Chapel with Rosie Baker and Dwight Austin officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Dwight Austin, McNew Thomas, Lester Thomas, Jay Greenwood, Tony Greenwood, Woody Johnson and Jerry Hurd. He was laid to rest at the Nashoba Indian Cemetery under the direction of Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Antlers, Oklahoma. _____________________________________
