Contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Teresa Young June 29, 2001 ************************************************************************ "Antlers American", January 1975 FUNERAL RITES CONDUCTED FOR GROVER YOUNG Services for Grover Cleveland Young of Clayton, were held Monday, December 30 in the Sardis community building in Sardis. Reverend Alton Linder and Reverend Walter Perdue officiated. Young, 69 years old, was born March 16, 1905, in Lequire. He had lived in this community since 1918 as a farmer and rancher. He died in the Pushmataha Hospital December 28. Interment was held at the A. L. Stephens Cemetery in Clayton with Coffey Funeral Home handling the arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Ruby "Lucille" Young of the home, four sons, Henry Young, Jesse Young, and Bill Young of Sardis, and Donald Young of Choctaw; three daughters, Ann Williams of Finley, Iva Saunders of El Paso, Texas, and Inez Williams of Oklahoma City; one brother, Homer Young of Wister; one sister, Lona Cornelius of El Cajon, California; 18 grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
