CLINESMITH, his wife of the County of ROGER MILLS and Territory of aforesaid, for in consideration of the sum of $600.00 six hundred dollars to us in hand paid by JOHN W. DALE as follows,in the notes for the sum of $20.00 twenty dollars each the first due January 1st 1899 the second being due the 1st of January 1900 and the 3rd third due January 1st 1900 with interest of the rate of 8 percent per annum from date, interest being paid annualy. Have granted, Sold, Coveyed, and by these presents, do GRANT,SELL,AND CONVEY unto the said JOHN W. DALE Of the County of WISE and state of TEXAS all that certain tract or parcel of land same being 41 1/3 acres out of the Daniel Clark survey of 320 acres about 3 miles North from Decator on the head waters of Pattello Creek Beginning at S.E. Corner of a 25 acre tract sold by us to F.L. Menshaw and wife October 7 1887. Thence North 561 degrees to stake in bed of Cottlett Creek, from which a Spanish Oak grows South ------Thence down said Creek with the meridianing thereof to the S.E. corner of a tract of land sold by L.L. Menshaw and wife to L.K. Pounds, Thence South 263 ½ to a stake --of corner, Thence West 480 degrees to the place of beginning containing 41 1/3 acres more or less. To have and hold the above presmises,togather with all singular the rights and appartenances thereto in anywise belonging unto the said J.W.Dale and his heirs assigns,forever and we do herby bind our heirs,executers,and administrators to WARRANT and FOREVER DEFEND all and singular the said premises unto the said J.W. Dale and his claim the same or any part thereof. But it is expressedly agreed and stipulated that he vendors lien is retained against the above described property, premises, and improvements until the described notes with interest therone accured, are fully paid when the deed shall become absolute. Gray County Clerk in and for asaid Roger Mills County Territory of Oklahoma on this day personaly appeared Eli Clinesmith and Sarah P Clinesmith wife of Eli Clinesmith known to be the persons whoes names are subscribed to the foregoing instrument and acknowledged to me that they executed the same for the purpose and considerations therein expressed. And said Sarah P Clinesmith wife of the aforsaid Eli Clinesmith acknowleged that such instrument to me to be her act and deed and she declared that she willingly signed the same for the purposes therein expressed and she did not wish to resend it.
