Blount Originally posted at: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5YB.2ACE/6204 Funeral services for Mrs. Jean (Hensley) Ackley who died in an Elk City hospital April 12, 1967, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April, 16, 1967, in the Hammon high school auditorium with Bro. Walter P. Bryan, Clinton, and Bro. Ronnie Clayton, Wheeler, Texas officiating. Burial was in Red Hill cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Kitty Eugenia Hensley was born September 13, 1908. Most of her life was spent in and near Hammon. She was a member of the Church of Christ and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was married to Buford Ackley September 10, 1934. Besides her husband of the home, she is survived by two sons, M/S Carroll Wayne Miller, with the U.S. Air Force in South VietNam, and James Buford Ackley of Hammon; one sister, Frances H. Ackley, Hammon, two nieces, Joan Tomberlin and June Ackley, Hammon; one nephew, Carroll E. Hensley, Dallas, Texas; two uncles, Elmer and Eddie Blount, Hammon; one aunt; seven grandchildren, othe relatives and many friends. Jean loved her family very much and you could see her beaming with pride and goodness as all seven of her grandchildren were with them at Sunday Bible School and worship service.
