The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ====================================================================== Catherine Laverne Albin, was born in Coffey County, Tennessee, January 9, 1867, and departed this life July 11, 1937, age 70 years, 6 months and 2 days. She moved with her parents to Texas in 1881. She was married to William H. Campbell, May 29, 1884. To this union 6 children were born all of whom survive. They are Mrs. L.G. Gamble, Grimes; Mrs. E. D. Holmes, Salt Lake City; William E. Campbell, Washington, D.C.; Ira L. Campbell, Portales, New Mexico; Mrs. Carl Long, Grimes, Oklahoma and Mrs. H.L. Isch, Sweetwater, Oklahoma. Mr. Campbell preceded her in death many years, having died in 1908. On April 24, 1932 she was married to John Albin of Sweetwater and he, too, preceded her in death, dying January 10, 1937. She joined the Church of Christ in early life and in 1931 united with the Assembly of God church of Sweetwater which faith she kept to the end. She was a devoted mother, a loyal friend, and a true chiristian. She also leaves two brothers, J.J. Yell, Sweetwater and Ellis Yell of Grimes; and one sister, Mrs. J.M. Pilgrim, Mineral Wells, Texas and a step-daughter, Allegra Easterling of Reydon and a host of friends. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
