The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Surnames: Albright, Barnard, Carlton, Jones, Switzer, Bullard Hildred Lorine Albright, daughter of Charles and Mabel Barnard, was born in the Leedey community on July 2, 1910. She passed from this life suddenly on November 21, 2001 at the Leedey, Oklahoma Nursing Center. She was 91 years, 4 months and 19 days. Her grade school years were spent in several of the Leedey area one- room schools. She attended her first year of highschool at Texmo School and completed her final three years in Leedey, graduating with the Senior Class of 1928. In September of 1933, Lorine was united in marriage at Cheyenne, Oklahoma with Asa Albright. Lorine and Asa's first residence was established in the Red Star Community located to the southwest of Leedey and remained in this same area throughout both their lifetimes. Three childrfen Evelyn, Janis and Asa Jr. blessed this happy marriage. Their home and livlihoo, like others of this region,. was founded within the farming and cattle industry. Lorine worked beside Asa in much of the farm and ranch work while providing the best of homes for her husband and children. Lorine was a member of the Red Star Brethren in Christ Church where she had attended since her youth. She was baptized fourteen years ago and has faithfully served the church in numerous ways, including assuming the duties of a Sunday school teacher. She has been an avid traveler, joining numerous tour groups and cruises and has been around the world visiting such remote areas as the artic region and the Anatrctic continent. There was no end of her spirit of adventure and "she would go just as far as someone would take her" according to her children. She has also been an enthusiastic and productive artist with oil and canvas. Lorine is prceded in death by her beloved husband, Asa Albright, Sr.; her parents, Charlie and Mabel Barnard; two sisters, Orpha Carlton and Louisa Jones; two great granddaughters, Amy Switzer Jones and Sara Switzer and by one son-in-law, Bud Switzer. She is survived by her daughter of Leedey, Oklahoma, Evelyn Switzer Scrivner and her husband, Jim; her daughter of Bethany, Oklahioma, Janice Bullard and her husband Glen, and by her son and daughter-in- law, Asa Jr. and Louise Albright of Leedey, OK; by eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews as well as numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Interment in the Red Star Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
