The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Surnames: Albright, Gordon Perry Edward Albright, son of Phenis and Calcia Albright, was born in the Red Star Community of Roger Mills County, on February 1, 1912. He passed from this life in Ft. Smith, Ark. on Nov. 7, 1982, at the age of seventy years. In his early life, he moved with his parents to Mulberry, Arkansas where he attended school, graduating from Mulberry High School with the class of 1932. In 1934, Perry moved to Gen City, Texas where he lived for two years. On November 27, 1936, Perry Edward Albright was married to Mary A. Gordon at Cheyenne, OK. One daughter, LeDonna, was born to this union. They established their home in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mr. Albright was employed in the construction work. During the years of World War II he was employed in the construction of Air-Strips and Highwasy. Later he became an employee of the Morton Salt Company where he worked as Hoist Engineer for seventeen years before his retirement in 1977. At the age of twentyy-three years, he made his commitment of faith in Christ, was baptized, and became a member of the Church of the Nazarene. He has been a member of the Ashtabula Nazarene Church. For more than forty years he was a member of the Nazrene Church, and served on its Board of Trustees for several years. Mr. Albright was know as the "quiet one who had rather 'see' a sermon in a life than to 'hear' one any day." He lived his life this way. Perry Edward Albright was preceded in death by his parents, Phenis and Calcia Albright, and two sisters, Clara Morris and Glayds Wiggley. He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Albright, of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, one daughter, LeDonna Leonard and husband, Harvey Leonard of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, and the following grandchildren: Randy and Kathleen Hensley and daughter, Bethany, of Ft. Worth, TX; Linda Hensley of Ft. Smith; Jack Hensley of Dallas, TX; and Ronald and Caroline Hensley of Cheyenne, OK. One sister, Melba Morgan of Alma, Arkansas; two brothers, Chester E. Albright of Ft. Smith, and Neal Albright of Fayetteville, Arkansas; sever nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
