Aulbert was born December 21, 1912 in Elk City, OK to Mollie and Willis Aulbert and passed away September 28, 1996 in the Sayre Memorial Hospital at the age of 83 years, 9 months and 7 days. Pete moved to Reno, NV in 1939 and he worked for Harold's Club, retiring as Head Pastry Chef after 38 years. He also served with the Merchant Marines during World War II as a chef. In 1947, he married Dagmar Henson in Lovelock, NM and she passed away in 1977. Pete married Ethel A. Williams Ward on December 18, 1978 in Sweetwater, OK and they lived in Reno until 1980 when they moved to Sayre to make their home. Pete was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. In addition to his first wife, he was precded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Willia Aulbert, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Ethel of the home; stepdaughter, Marilyn Lynch, Henderson, NV; stepson, Gary Ward, Mountaintop, PA; l sister, Irene Burkhalter, Sweetwater, OK; 1 step granddaughter, Melanie Lynch, Elk City, OK; 2 step grandsons, Justin Ward and Cade Ward, both of Mountaintop, PA; 2 nieces, Fern York of Elk City, OK and Kay Hopkins, Oklahoma City, OK; 2 nephews, S.A. Burck Burckhalter, Sweetwater, OK and Paul Burckhalter, Springfield, MO; and a host of other relatives and friends. Masonic graveside rites were at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 1996 at the Dempsey Cemetery, Roger Mills County, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
