Services were held October 2, 1969, at Iola, Kansas, Mr. Allen came to western Oklahoma in 1900 from Shawnee, Oklahoma and filed on a homestead. He was married in 1901 to Eva Matthews at Shawnee, Oklahoma. Proceeding him in death were his wife and two daughters. He was a retired farmer. Survivors are two daughters Mrs. Clara Jarnagin, of Muleshoe, Texas; Mrs. Emily Palalos, Dallas, Texas; four sons, T of Muleshoe, Texas; Leroy of Sweetwater, Oklahoma; Daniel, of Sayre, Oklahoma; and Clarence B. of Tacoma, Washington; One brother Urban Allen of Meeker, Oklahoma; a sister Mrs. Venetia Nelson, Haskell, Oklahoma; sixteen grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren. Pall bearers were Mack McArthur, A.B. Witt, E.N. Carlson, Leon Smulcer, Lonnie Kelly and Jess French. Committal was in Mulberry cemetery, Sweetwater, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Scroggins and Son in charge of arrangements. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok
