She moved to Cheyenne, Oklahoma and married Fred E. Allen on September 14, 1957 in Sayre, Oklahoma aand they moved to Los Cruces, New Mexico until 1961 when they moved back toCheyenne where they farmed and Fred was County Clerk. They later moved to Ashland, Kansas in 1979 to make their home. She was a member of the Crawford Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister and 1 brother. Survivors include her husband, Fred of the Home; 2 daughters, Carolyn Moore,Cheyenne and Billie Hall, Meade, Kansas; 4 sons, Eddie Hall, Smith, Alabama, Fred Allen, Jr., ashland, KS, Curtis Allen, Dodge City, KS, Kevin Allen, Wellington, KS; 1 step daughter, Debra Charles, Emporia, KS; 3 brothers, Tyson Shelton, Elk City, Oklahoma, Joe Merle Shelton, Mobeetie, Texas, Mac Shelton, Perryton, TX; 2 sisters May Bailey, Mobeetie, Texas and Juanelle Eberting, Albuquerque, NM; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 1994 at theCheyenne Church of Christ officiated by Willard Cox.
