He was buried at the Silent Home Cemetery near Roll, OK. Josh was born April 16, 1936, to Rufus W. and Jennie B. Allen, near Crawford, Roger Mills County, OK. where he lived and went to school, until his marriage to Glathea Sanford of Reydon, OK For the last sixteen years, Josh had been employed by Allred Oil Field Construction. Josh was preceded in death by his mother, one brother and infant sons. Surviving is his wife, Glathea, and daughter, Twilla, of the home; one daughter, Lisa Dowden; two sons, Ricky and Royce; two grand daughters, Jennifer April and Jaclyn Lee Allen, all of Perryton, TX; his father, Rufus Allen, of Cheyenne; four brother, Jack Allen, Crawford, J.R. Allen of Rose, NE, Clovis Allen of Liberal, KS, Sam Allen of Durham, OK; sisters, Meaadow Bell Allen, Ruidoso, NM, Tennie Dale Campbell, Cheyenne, OK, Ellen Daniels of Cheyenne, Jimmie Lou Wilmoth of Cheyenne, and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Andy Morris, Leon Bradshaw, Jerral Allred, James Burris, Vertis Stroup and Lloyd McDaniel. Josh had many hobbies, motorcycling and hunting being his favorities. He will be missed by many, especially by his family.
