She was born Oct 15, 1890 in Young County, Texas to William Carter and Nancy Annie Cheek. She moved to Oklahoma near the Brantley community and married Oder E. Allen on Feb. 17, 1910 in Brantley. They moved near Strong City to make their home. Mrs Allen had lived in the Durham community the last few years. Those who preceeded her in death were her parents, husband, four sisters and two brothers. Those who preceeded her in death were her parents, husband, four sisters and two brothers. Survivors include two daughters; Inez Rule of Friona, TX, Odessa Wright of Durham, Okla; one son, Elmer Allen of Tacoma, Washington; one sister, Nellie Mikeal of Pampa, TX; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Services were held Monday at the Crawford Church of Christ with Harold Knight officiating. Interment followed in Seilent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, OK. Her great-grandsons served as pallbearers. Arrangements were made by Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne.
