John F. Allen Services Thursday, July 17 Services for John Franklin Allen, 78 years, a former resident of Hammon and Blair, Okla., are being conducted today (Thursday) at 1 p. m. in the First Baptist Church, with the pastor, Rev. W. L. Magar, officiating. Burial will be in Blair under the direction of Martin-Hullum Funeral Home, Elk City. Mr. Allen passed away Monday in an Amarillo hospital. He was stricken on the train near Shamrock, Texas, while enroute to his home in Norwalk, Calif. John Franklin Allen was born October 14, 1874 in Salem, Mo. He was married to Mollie Morrison at Martha, Okla., on January 17, 1897. He lived at Hammon from 1922 until 1943, when he moved to California. Mr. Allen was a member of the Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife; two sons, James B. Allen, Hammon; Clayton Allen, Los Angeles, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Bessie Lee Odam, Norwalk, Calif.; Mrs. Annie Thelma Gage, Carter, Okla., and Mrs. Kathleen Crook, Lakewood, Calif.; eight grandchildren and six great grand children. He was preceded in death by a brother, G. W. Allen, in 1936.
